Perfect is Perfect

There is a light shining in the darkness. As it penetrates men’s hearts it moves into the soul and sets up camp. It begins to heal the heart and as with any wound, the healing power hurts at first.

It first has to kill the disease, then it can begin its healing work. This light is the Word of God, it is Jesus Christ.

// John 1: 1-5

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood  it.”

// 2 Timothy 3:16-17

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

// 1 John 4:4

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

As you walk through life, you will fall. When you fall you will scrape your knee, bruise your elbow, and you will experience pain. But remember, He who is in you (Jesus) is greater than this world and the pain experienced inside it. (1 John 4:4)

But in order to experience the healing power of Christ, you have to understand His Word.

The Word is as perfect as Jesus is perfect, because He is the Word. (John 1:1-5) And when you open the Word of God you are not just reading about Jesus, you are experiencing Him. The Revelation of Jesus is made known through it, and the account of His creation and supernatural existence on earth is documented in it.

Jesus is the Living Word.

The Word is inerrant, or without error, just as Jesus is.

This means the Word is power. And, that EVERYTHING in the Bible is relevant to culture today. It’s authority doesn’t change because Jesus doesn’t change. God is the same both yesterday, today and forever. From the fall of man, to the resurrection of Christ, to the order and organization of the home and church… it is a decree from a King. It is the very breath of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) This will take understanding by the Holy Spirit and exegetical study and teaching. But to experience the King, you must bow before Him and hear His Word as absolute in authority from His Holy place.

It all hinges on humility and the denial of self.

This Light, this healing power, this Word of God must be taken and digested in it’s fullness. If you do not take it all, it will not correct the problem. It is no different than when you are prescribed medicine at the doctors office. The prescription must be taken to completion for the healing to finish it’s work. With the Bible you are holding perfection in your hands and it must be taken, all of it, to find healing and to understand with more competence the nature of the God you serve.

To deny the perfection of the Word of God is to say that Jesus is not perfect, because Jesus is the Word. The deity of Jesus, the substantiation of the God Head, the reconciliation of mankind, the forgiveness of sins, and the restoration of the saints is evident through the perfect Word of God.

For the few who find it, may they digest it all, so that it does it’s healing work on their hearts. And may the transformation of the heart ignite change in our homes, our churches, and communities. May the world change we seek be found in our hearts.
