The New Slavery

‘The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave of the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7)

The new slavery in America isn’t an oppressed people group. This time, both white and black are in the same boat. The new slavery is debt. But this is not just an American problem, debt is a world wide epidemic.

This is significant because the anti christ, who will soon be revealed, will control a one world economy. How does that one world economy come about? Through a world wide bail out that he will facilitate and control. The first step of control was to put the world into debt, the second is to bail them out so the he becomes their savior.

We love money more than God, so the one world economy will come first before the one world religion. Money proceeds God in the world, because money is the god of the world.

Gold and money are worthless however, when there is no food or water. The power of control is in food and water.

We see this in the story of Joseph.

When Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, God positioned him to step into the most influential leadership position in Egypt. But before he received the position his integrity was tested. He was given the ability to interpret a dream, and the faith to implement it. Then there was a world wide famine, and that famine led everyone to the store houses of Egypt.

It was food, not money, that controlled the world. (Genesis 41)

When Christ died, He rose from the grave to set us free not only from the curse of death but from bondage and slavery. Debt is slavery. And slavery is not intended for His children. Debt places us in bondage from what Christ set us free from… the world system.

It is time to get serious about our finances. Sell assets you don’t need, pay off debt and increase your cash flow. Be a better steward, and give more to the Lord. I am thankful that Christ set us free on every level, and for the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth and discloses to us things that are to come. (John 14:26)

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)
